81042 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred to achieve the initiative 'Redesign vaccinator training and support services to enhance workforce capacity and capability, with particular focus on increasing access for high needs groups. This will be implemented by quarter three 2024/25' included on page 11 of High Level Implementation Plans - Achieving the Health Targets, as at 16 December 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand has made changes to simplify the vaccinator health worker training pathway. This work has increased the number of vaccines a worker can administer, and enables them to apply for authorisation as soon as they have completed their training.
