Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred to achieve the initiative 'Extend Primary Options for Acute Care schemes to provide GPs with options other than ED presentations (e.g., diagnostics)' included on page 13 of High Level Implementation Plans - Achieving the Health Targets, as at 16 December 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that existing Primary Options for Acute Care programmes are being expanded in each Health New Zealand region to improve access for general practitioners. I am further advised that Health NZ is progressing the community-referred radiology programme. It has increased access across Wellington and Hutt Valley, and removed co-payments.
