81029 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred to achieve the initiative 'Connect low acuity Pacific patients who present to ED with primary and community providers via nursing, social work, and cultural navigators' included on page 13 of High Level Implementation Plans - Achieving the Health Targets, as at 16 December 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that a project at Middlemore hospital in late 2024 provided cultural support to Pacific patients in ED through talanoa; disseminated relevant service information, and connected lower acuity patients with primary and community providers. It is anticipated that the project will continue in 2025 once staffing levels are restored.
