Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred to achieve the initiative 'Stabilise and grow the urgent care, nursing, acute medical and surgical, midwifery, and allied health workforces (e.g., via the Return to Midwifery programme)' included on page 13 of High Level Implementation Plans - Achieving the Health Targets, as at 16 December 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand launched its Health Workforce Plan 2024 on 10 December 2024. It includes a suite of detailed actions targeting the stabilisation and growth of workforces in urgent care, nursing, acute medical and surgical, midwifery, and allied health.
