Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred to achieve the initiative 'Deploy nationally consistent access thresholds to remove unwarranted variation between districts, supported by clinical networks' included on page 15 of High Level Implementation Plans - Achieving the Health Targets, as at 16 December 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the most significant work in developing consistent access thresholds has involved cataract surgeries. Districts have been adopting the standard threshold over time throughout 2024 to ensure those making a larger transition have sufficient time to meet the threshold.
