Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred to achieve the initiative 'Evaluate and extend alternative clinical pathways that release capacity within hospitals for increased FSA and diagnostic delivery' included on page 15 of High Level Implementation Plans - Achieving the Health Targets, as at 16 December 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the first of these national pathways – a musculoskeletal pathway supporting orthopaedics – has been released. As at 16 December 2024, 570 patients had been triaged to the pathway following referral for orthopaedic First Specialist Appointments.
