80903 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: When, if at all, was KiwiRail Management informed of the Government’s plan for new ferries announced on 11 December 2024?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: I am advised that KiwiRail has engaged with the Treasury across 2024 and was aware that the Government was considering establishing a new entity with the responsibility of procuring two new vessels and engaging the port companies on landside requirements.
