Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: What, if anything, prevented the Minister from engaging with "Ministerial counterparts in Australia and Singapore to establish a coordinated regional approach" prior to his appointment on 18 November 2024 as "lead anti-scam Minister"?

Hon Andrew Bayly: Earlier this year, I visited Australia and Singapore to meet my counterparts and learn more about anti-scam efforts. My objective is to improve the coordination of efforts to stop scams, including in our engagement with Ministerial counterparts in other jurisdictions. I recently was visited by my Australian counterpart for further discussions here in Wellington
