80743 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Health: Has there been a contract signed that would enable Te Awakairangi Birthing Unit to be used as an after hours medical facility?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the space formally known as the Te Awakairangi Birthing Unit is currently being used to provide antenatal and postnatal clinics, and that no final decisions have been made regarding primary birthing facilities in the Hutt Valley.
