80731 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Police: How much has been spent so far on policing the gang patch law?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police cannot provide a breakdown of costs for policing and enforcing the Gangs Act 2024, as these tasks are part of Police’s core function and are an all-of-Police priority. All staff contribute to policing gangs and as such Police does not report specific financial data to answer the Member’s question.
