80676 (2024). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many people (by number and percentage of total participants), if any, received support/participated in Mana in Mahi but failed to achieve an education or employment outcome each year (or the standard participant time frame) since October 2023, if such instances have occurred; what is the breakdown by the participants gender, ethnicity, region and age?

Hon Louise Upston: Mana in Mahi is provided to people with a confirmed job offer and as such all participants have an employment outcome as a part of receiving the assistance. The Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) is unable to report on the outcomes of participant training, as the courses undertaken usually extend beyond the Mana in Mahi contract duration, and the participants are under no obligation to report this back to the Ministry.
