Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many distinct individuals, if any, have accessed (Training Incentive Allowance) since October 2023; what is the total budget expenditure, if anything, on this initiative since October 2023, listed against the original budget allocation?

Hon Louise Upston: I refer the Member to the attached tables: • Table 1 provides actual expenditure and the Budget amount for Training Incentive Allowance • Table 2 provides the number of clients paid Training Incentive Allowance between 1 January 2023 and 30 November 2024 by calendar year. I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development that data for Training Incentive Allowance is reported by calendar year, as these payments are generally made at the beginning of the academic year.
