80602 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: What is the next step underway, if any, for development at Bunnythorpe?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: I am advised that KiwiRail has a designation for the Bunnythorpe development. The Government funded $40 million to select, masterplan and designate a site and purchase land for the first phase of development. This enables eventual development of the sites when commercial parties reach agreement on the funding arrangements and timeframes. This process is occurring through Te Utanganui.
