80559 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: Further to WPQ 75344, given the ongoing restructures impacting staff at kiwi-rail, is the Minister aware of the results of the KiwiRail staff survey in 2024?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: No, I have not received any advice on staff surveys. I am advised that KiwiRail released its net employee promoter score on page 13 of its Integrated Report 2024. KiwiRail’s Board is responsible for ensuring that KiwiRail meets the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986 requirement to be a good employer. I expect KiwiRail will inform me of any issues regarding staff wellbeing and morale that meet the threshold for a “no surprises” briefing to shareholding Ministers.
