80206 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 2 December 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents from 2 – 6 December 2024 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC): • Intelligence and Security Committee Meeting 11 December 2024, 5 December 2024 • Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Watch Group #1, 5 December 2024 • Progress of Government Target 7 – Achievement, 6 December 2024 • Prime Minister’s Weekly Brief, 6 December 2024. I also received two documents on 4 December 2024 however, it is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. In addition, jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I have received the following document: • Cyclone Recovery Weekly Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 5 December 2024. In addition, jointly with the Minister Responsible for the NZSIS I have received the following document: • NZSIS Terrorist Threat Level Annual Review, 2 December 2024 I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings. Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
