Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open with employees on the week beginning 2 December 2024, regarding any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and how many roles, if any, could be affected?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is a departmental agency hosted by the DPMC. I am advised that no consultations with DPMC and NEMA staff have been carried out regarding any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions from 2-6 December 2024.
