78986 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: What, if anything, are the exact details of the agreed nutritional guidance for the new contract(s), with firms like Compass Group NZ and Gilmours, for the reformed Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme?

Hon David Seymour: All lunch providers for the Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme are required to provide meals that meet the programme’s Nutritional Standards, which have not changed. I am advised that the Ministry of Education will be working with the programme’s wholesaler, Gilmours, to ensure quality ingredients are available for providers to serve nutritious meals in line with the Nutritional Standards.
