78981 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: How regularly, if at all, are meal assessments conducted for current Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme suppliers?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that meal assessments for current Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme suppliers are conducted as required, and are not routine. They are often conducted following termly feedback from schools, kura or the school community, and are used to assess the nutritional quality of meals served and provide insights into presentation and appeal of lunches. There is no intention to change the frequency of meal assessments. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 78982 and 78979 (2024). "
