78980 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: How, if at all, is waste and surplus currently monitored in the Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that Key Performance Indicators were introduced into the Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme in 2024, for suppliers to measure surplus and waste over a one-week period in either Term 2 or 3. Additionally, the programme utilises the end of term survey to schools to monitor surplus. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 78978 (2024).
