78934 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Women: What information regarding conflicts of interest is explicitly requested or expected to be declared as part of the appointment process for Crown boards within ministries, departments, and agencies for which the Minister is responsible?
Hon Nicola Grigg: As Minister for Women, I am not responsible for any Crown boards. I am responsible for appointments of members to the National Advisory Council on the Employment of Women (NACEW), a ministerial advisory committee. The NACEW terms of reference contains information on how conflicts of interest must be handled, specifically: 9.1. Members must: a. Perform their functions in good faith, honestly and impartially and avoid situations that might compromise their integrity or otherwise lead to conflicts of interest. b. Sign a declaration of conflicts of interest upon commencement of their term. Every conflict of interest must be recorded in the Conflict and Declaration of Interest Register. c. Members are to advise the Chair of a matter that could be seen as a potential conflict of interest
