Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: Since November 2023, in how many instances has a conflict of interest resulted in a candidate being declined for a Crown board appointment in a ministry, department or agency for which the Minister is responsible, and if this information is withheld, on what grounds is it being withheld?

Hon Louise Upston: In my capacity as Minister for Social Development and Employment, there have been no instances where a conflict of interest has resulted in a candidate being declined for an appointment to a Crown entity board.
