Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Housing: Since November 2023, in how many instances has a conflict of interest resulted in a candidate being declined for a Crown board appointment in a ministry, department or agency for which the Minister is responsible, and if this information is withheld, on what grounds is it being withheld?

Hon Chris Bishop: There have been no instances since November 2023 for Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities or the Tāmaki Redevelopment Company Ltd where a conflict of interest resulted in a candidate being declined for a Crown board appointment.
