78846 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Did the Minister meet with Community Housing Aotearoa and/or Te Matapihi on 7 October 2024 and, if so, what was discussed?

Hon Chris Bishop: Yes. I hosted an online roundtable on 7 October to which all Community Housing Providers (CHPs) were invited to attend, together with the two peak bodies, Community Housing Aotearoa and Te Matapihi. I outlined our Government’s desired strategic direction for CHPs and updated the attendees on work underway to support this strategic direction. This included the allocation of the 1,500 places funded through Budget 2024, the development of strategic partnerships and our commitment to improve access to finance for social housing.
