78805 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Housing: Are interest, dividends, and other gains arising from any investment of money in the Residential Tenancies Trust Account tagged for a particular purpose or does it just go into the consolidated account?

Hon Chris Bishop: At the end of each financial year, all returns on investment on the RTTA over and above MBIE’s funding of $8.1m per annum is reported in MBIE’s financial statements and returned to the Crown.
