Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open with employees on the week beginning 25 November 2024, regarding any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and what date are any such consultations expected to close?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is a departmental agency hosted by the DPMC. I am advised that no consultations with DPMC and NEMA staff have been carried out regarding any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions from 25 - 29 November 2024.
