Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Further to her answer to written question 75414 (2024): How many of FTEs currently assigned to the Department of Internal Affairs Regulatory Services Group will be focused on administering the regulatory system for online casino gambling?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs (the Department) that it expects to increase FTEs in the Regulatory Services Group to administer online casino gambling, rather than to administer the new system within existing headcount. The exact size and make-up of a new team to administer the new regulatory regime will be determined once the policy and implementation work is completed.
