Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Further to her answer to written question 75414 (2024): Will the budget for the Department of Internal Affairs Regulatory Services Group be increased once they are responsible for administering the regulatory system for online casino gambling, and if so, by how much?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The costs for Regulatory Services Group for administering the regulatory system for online casino gambling will be cost-recovered from gambling operators. Changes will be made to appropriations and internal budgets to reflect this when the regulatory function becomes operational in 2026.
