78155 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 25 November 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents from
25 – 29 November 2024 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC):
• DPMC Audit Letter 2023/24, 26 November 2024
• New Year Honours List 2025 (NY2025): formal approval, 27 November 2024
• New Zealand Bravery Awards 2024: oral item for Cabinet, 28 November 2024
• 2023/24 Final DPMC Annual Review Responses, 28 November 2024
• New Year Honours List 2025 (NY2025): formal approval, 29 November 2024
• Prime Minister’s Weekly Brief, 29 November 2024.
I also received one document within the specified timeframe however, it is not in the public interest to release the title of this document.
In addition, jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I have received the following document: North Island Weather Events (NIWE): Monthly Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, Infrastructure and Local Transport Projects, 29 November 2024.
I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings.
Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
