77240 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made as at 2 December 2024 toward the recommendation ‘Rapidly increase Māori and Pacific participation to 70%’ in Te Whatu Ora’s ‘BreastScreen Aotearoa Quality Improvement Action Plan’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that there are a range of initiatives that continue to support an increase the participation of Māori and Pacific women in breastscreening. These initiatives, run in partnership with community organisations, Lead Providers and Screening Support Services, have supported over 2,000 additional women to be screened.
