Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made as at 2 December 2024 toward the recommendation ‘Develop a monitoring and reporting framework with Māori, Pacific, consumers and service providers’ in Te Whatu Ora’s ‘BreastScreen Aotearoa Quality Improvement Action Plan’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that as part of the National Policy and Quality Standards revision, the monitoring and reporting frameworks will be reviewed. I am further advised that new standards of care have been put in place and with reporting on a monthly, quarterly, six monthly, and annual basis. These standards are monitored by clinicians, sector groups and senior management to ensure a high-quality and clinically safe programme is in place.
