77231 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made as at 2 December 2024 toward the recommendation ‘Co-design recruitment and retention strategy including opportunities for Māori, Pacific, people with lived experience of disability’ in Te Whatu Ora’s ‘BreastScreen Aotearoa Quality Improvement Action Plan’?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that over 40 Hauora Māori partners and community providers that deliver cancer care coordination or screening support services have been funded by BreastScreen Aotearoa to offer workforce development training, and to better enable them to support more Māori, Pacific, and disabled people to join the cancer screening workforce.
