77220 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made as at 2 December 2024 on the action ‘Training and development of population recruitment teams’ under ‘Goal 1: Strengthening diversity and inclusive practices’ within the BreastScreen Aotearoa Workforce Development Strategy 2022 – 2032?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand is continuing to work with the Workforce Development Working Group to progress actions in the strategy that have been identified as priorities.
I am further advised that Health NZ continues to strengthen relationships with different stakeholders, including the health workforce, the Transforming Radiology Programme, and the National Radiology Network. Health NZ is also working with BreastScreen Aotearoa providers to better understand the make-up of the workforce.
In addition, some actions outlined in the Workforce Development Strategy were also captured in the BSA Quality Improvement Review and will be addressed as part of that process.
