Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made as at 2 December 2024 on the action ‘Keep informed on risk-based screening and AI technology’ under ‘Goal 4: Looking to the workforce of the future‘ within the BreastScreen Aotearoa Workforce Development Strategy 2022 – 2032?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand continues to stay informed on artificial intelligence technologies, including where these are being used across the health system. I am further advised that Health NZ is also conducting evidence reviews on risk-based screening approaches.
