77183 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Is he confident that breast screening services can be extended to women aged 70-74 in the Nelson Marlborough District, as announced on 31 October 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the age extension for breast screening began in the Nelson Marlborough region on 31 October 2024. This means that women in the Nelson Marlborough region are eligible for free screening if they turn 70 on or after 1 October 2024, or are 74 and book a screen that will occur before they turn 75.
