Hon David Seymour: I have appointed members to both the Charter Schools | Kura Hourua Establishment Board and the Charter Schools Authorisation Board. The Establishment Board was a Ministerial Advisory Group set up to guide the formation of the charter school model. Their term ended once the Authorisation Board came into existence. The appointments I made to Establishment Board were: • Justine Mahon (Chair) • Glen Denham • John Fiso ONZM • Dr Nina Hood • Neil Paviour-Smith • Rōpata Taylor • Doran Wyatt • Professor Elizabeth Rata The Authorisation Board is a Statutory Board, as per Section 212A of the Education and Training Act 2020, that approves new charter schools, oversees performance, and intervenes where charter schools are not meeting their contracted performance outcomes. The appointments I made to the Authorisation Board were: • Justine Mahon (Chair) • Catherine Isaac • Neil Paviour-Smith • Professor Elizabeth Rata • Rōpata Taylor • Dee-Ann Wolferstan • Doran Wyatt.
