77075 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for the Public Service: What appointments, if any, has she made or recommended in her capacity as Minister for the Public Service?

Hon Nicola Willis: I do not make or recommend Public Service chief executive appointments as Minister for the Public Service. Public Service Chief Executives are appointed or reappointed by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Public Service Commissioner. I did however recommend, as part of a panel, that the Prime Minister recommend to the Governor-General that Sir Brian Roche be appointed as Public Service Commissioner.
