Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the Senior Residential Operations Advisor is responsible for: Providing the Operations Manager with information required to support the effective operational functioning of the Residences & Community Homes network. • Identifying improvement opportunities across the Residences and Homes network, ensuring that operational units are aligned in their delivery. • Provide advice and risk management support to the Operations Manager in the Youth Justice and Care and Protection Residences team. • Support the development, evaluation and implementation of new policies and operating procedures in conjunction with Social Work Practice colleagues to ensure the model of practice is applied and adhered to across the Residence and Homes network. • Provide reporting and undertake monitoring across the Residences and Homes network ensuring that operational activities are accurately documented. • Supporting responses to Official Information Act requests, Parliamentary questions, Privacy Act questions, Select Committee questions and other ad hoc questions. • Writing reports and papers in support of initiatives and action required. I am further advised that there is no set percentage for this role that is youth justice specific. It is dependent on the operational needs and focus at the time for the Youth Justice Services and Residential Care group.
