Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the Manager Residential Services is responsible for: • Leading the residence managers and holding them accountable for the smooth and successful running of our residences. • Ensuring that regulatory obligations are fulfilled. • Ensuring there is access to the information and insight required to enable best practice models to be utilised and properly embedded into our ways of working in the residences. • Consistently lifting standards and our expectations of service delivery within the residences and homes. • Oversight of the operation management of Youth Justice and Care and Protection Residences ensuring that Tamariki and rangatahi are at the forefront. • Drive a culture of achievement and continuous improvement across the Residences, working collaboratively across the network to drive change. I am further advised that there is no set percentage for this role that is youth justice specific. This position is focused on our Care and Protection Residences, however, may support youth justice depending on the operational needs and focus at the time for the Youth Justice Services and Residential Care group.
