76871 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Conservation: How many graduate positions, if any, were there in the Minister's departments, if any, between November 2023 and November 2024?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by the Department of Conservation that between November 2023 and November 2024 there was one staff member in a graduate position across the year. That staff member was present as at 31 October 2022 (which is the closest reporting date to 1 November 2022), but had completed their fixed term contract prior to 31 October 2023 (which is the closest reporting date to 1 November 2023) so there were no staff in graduate positions at that point.
