76838 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What plans, if any, does Health NZ have to communicate with patients and the public about the implications of any IT staff reductions for hospital services?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the changes to Health New Zealand's Data and Digital team remain a proposal at this point. I am further advised that existing applications and systems will continue to operate, and that appropriate transitional arrangements and contingency plans will be put in place once final decisions are made on the change process following consultation.
