76774 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister of Police: Where will the 30 existing staff being brought into the new Police station at 210 Federal Street in Auckland's CBD be sourced from and will those positions made vacant by the transfer be filled by Police after the move?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised the 30 officers allocated to the Auckland City Community Beat Team have been in place for many years. The number of staff on the Community Beat Team is being increased to 51 through the Investing in Frontline Policing programme. These staff will operate from the Federal Street police base. No positions are being made vacant.
