76648 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Police: How many searches, if any, have the New Zealand Police carried out without a search warrant between 01 January and 25 November 2024, and under what pieces of legislation were these searches justified?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that there were 14,399 Warrantless searches carried out by Police under the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 between 1 January and 25 November 2024.
