Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open with employees on the week beginning 18 November, regarding any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and how many roles, if any, could be affected?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised by New Zealand Qualifications Authority and the Tertiary Education Commission that there has been no consultations with employees on the week beginning 18 November, regarding any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions. In relation to the Ministry of Education, I refer the Member to the Minister for Education’s response to written parliamentary question 76670 (2024). I am advised that Education New Zealand did not open any consultations with employees in the week beginning 18 November 2024. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 46624 (2024).
