76532 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How much, if any, expenditure is allocated in the 2024/2025 financial year to activities to make sure that Oranga Tamariki social workers have the support they need to do their job well?

Hon Karen Chhour: I refer the Member to my answer to WPQ 76531 (2024). The activities listed in this answer are funded through baseline and I am advised it is not possible to separate the budget for this from overall Oranga Tamariki appropriation. I am further advised all social workers registered with Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers (ANZSW) are entitled to their registration fee and Social Workers registration board membership to be paid by Oranga Tamariki, which was approximately $1.5 million in 2023/24.
