76527 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: What are the other agencies in health and education that Oranga Tamariki is working with to address gaps?

Hon Karen Chhour: Under the Oranga Tamariki Action Plan, which is the Government’s commitment to ensure that the children and young people with the greatest needs receive the right support and services, there are six children’s agencies with collective responsibility for the Action Plan: • New Zealand Police • Ministry of Education • Ministry of Health • Ministry of Justice • Ministry of Social Development • Oranga Tamariki There are also many other agencies, as well as non-government organisations such as community groups and service providers, that are essential to securing the outcomes children, young people and their families/whānau need.
