76524 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How, if at all, in its work to "identify systemic failures to reform to the systems and practices of Oranga Tamariki" will the Child Protection Investigation Unit draw on the findings from reports such as the Ombudsman's 'Children in Care: Complaints to the Ombudsman 2019-2023' report, the Ministerial Advisory Board's 'Hipokingia ki te Kahu Aroha Hipokingia ki te Katoa' report, and Aroturuki Tamariki's 'Towards a stronger safety net to prevent abuse of children' report?
Hon Karen Chhour: Corrected reply: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the Child Protection Investigation Unit will draw on any findings from reports that may be relevant to inform its work.
I am further advised that the terms of reference are currently under development and more information will be available once they are finalised.
