Hon Paul Goldsmith: I did not advise Dr Rainbow that he was not the preferred candidate for appointment. It is possible that I discussed the matter as part of consultation processes, however, I cannot recall a discussion specifically about Dr Rainbow's application occurring with either Hon David Seymour or Andrew Ketels.
