75831 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter July to September 2024 to improve the pipeline into medicine for people living in rural communities?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, the rural medical immersion programme at University of Otago continued, and has been extended for 2025. I am further advised that the University of Auckland's new rural immersion programme has also been funded for 2025.
