Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 on the proposed action ‘identify the priority focus areas for regions to implement programmes of work to reduce unwarranted variation in acute care, with a focus on equity’ under ‘Strategic Priority Area 2: Leadership and accountability’ within Te Whatu Ora’s ‘Acute Care Plan 2024’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, the acute flow operational standards were finalised and published; the performance monitoring framework was completed, and the national escalation framework was embedded. This action is now complete.
