75671 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: What involvement and services, if any, is provided for the family of the participants on the Oranga Tamariki military-style academy pilot during the transition phase?

Hon Karen Chhour: I advised that the young people’s social workers and intensive mentors have worked alongside family/whānau where relevant to identify their needs and provide support by connecting them with appropriate services. Examples of services accessed as part of family/whānau plans have included parenting coaching, health services and accommodation services.
